- File on Monday if your last name starts with A – F;

Expansion Of Benefits Under The Cares Act
The federal government recently passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act , which includes an expansion of unemployment insurance benefits through three programs:
- Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation adds $600 per week on top of regular UI benefits, effective March 29th, 2020 through July 31, 2020.
- Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation extends UI benefits by 13 weeks, including the $600 of FPUC.
- Pandemic Unemployment Assistance extends benefits to individuals who are not usually eligible, including the self-employed, independent contractors, and gig workers.

The Judge’s Chambers At Yankee Stadium
In 2017, team management ordered the creation of a special cheer section within Section 104 for fans of Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, called “the Judge’s Chambers”. Expanded Unemployment In Maryland During The Covid
On March 11, 2021, President Biden signed into law a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill known as the American Rescue Plan . The law extended a $300 per week federal unemployment supplement until September 6, 2021. However, in response to apparent labor shortages, the state of Maryland decided to end this supplement early on July 3, 2021. That means the unemployment supplement is no longer available in Maryland.
The law also extended two unemployment programs originally created by the CARES Act in March 2020: Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation .
Under the PUA program, self-employed workersusually excluded from unemployment benefitsare entitled to unemployment if they meet certain criteria. ARP makes PUA benefits available through Labor Day 2021, and increases the maximum duration of these benefits from 50 to 79 weeks.
The PEUC program provides for a federally-funded extension of benefits when state unemployment benefits expire. ARP increases the maximum duration of PEUC benefits from 24 to 53 weeks, with an expiry date of September 4, 2021.
