Online: You can access your unemployment insurance claim and information online through the New Mexico Workforce Connection System.
You can file a claim online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All individuals applying for unemployment benefits online must create an account for the New Mexico Workforce Connection Online System. This login gives you access to both the Unemployment Insurance Tax & Claims system and the New Mexico Workforce Connection job search platform.

If you want your unemployment benefit payments sent directly to your bank account, you need to set up direct deposit. You can set up direct deposit online or by phone.
To set up direct deposit, you will need:
- Your Social Security number
- The routing number of your bank

Will New York Unemployment Be Extended Again In 2021 Or End Early
With several states ending federally funded unemployment benefits earlier than planned to encourage workers to return to work, there was a concern this action could spread nationwide. But the good news for unemployed New Yorkers is that most of the states cancelling unemployment benefits are Republican led, which New York is most certainly not.
As a result New York is keeping ALL pandemic unemployment benefits, including the extra $300 weekly payment, until the current program end date which would be the week ending September 4th, 2021 in NY.

Update for Bank of America Cardholders: Important Notice Regarding Change in Benefits Payments
Whats happening: Effective January 31, 2021, Iowa Workforce Development stopped depositing funds to Bank of America debit card accounts. If you have a Bank of America card account, it will remain active until January 25, 2022, then it will be deactivated.
What you need to do: Until January 25, 2022, you may continue to use your Bank of America card. If your card expires prior to that date, it will not be reissued. To transfer funds to your existing checking or savings account, select the Transfer funds option within this site.
