How Are My Weekly Pua Payments Calculated
The computation of the weekly assistance amount for PUA will be based on the gross wages for an unemployed worker and net earnings for self-employed individuals. All wages earned for the performance of services in the most recently completed tax year will be used to compute the weekly assistance amount.
The weekly assistance amount will be calculated in accordance with Oklahoma Employment Security Law. The weekly amount shall be the weekly amount of compensation that the individual would have been paid as regular unemployment insurance compensation unless the weekly benefit amount is less than 50% of the average weekly payment of regular unemployment insurance benefits. The maximum weekly assistance amount shall not exceed the maximum weekly benefit amount of regular unemployment insurance benefits payable in the state. Employment, wages, and self-employment that are not covered by the Oklahoma Employment Security Law shall be treated in the same manner and with the same effect as covered employment and wages. Employment and wages that are prohibited by federal law shall not be included in the computation of weekly assistance amount.

How Unemployment Insurance Works In New Mexico
The first eligible week of each new claim is a waiting week. You will not receive benefits for this week, but you must certify to receive credit for your waiting week. You must meet the same eligibility requirements for a waiting week as you would for a payable week.
Your claim is established for a 52-week period called a Benefit Year. It begins with the effective date of your claim. You can file weekly requests for benefits until your claim has ended or you have exhausted your benefits. You may also file if you have earnings from part-time employment that are less than your weekly benefit amount.
At the end of your Benefit Year, your claim will end whether or not youve received all available benefits. If youre unemployed at that time, youll need to file a new claim for benefits.
What Day Of The Week Unemployment Pays
NOTE: All Unemployment Insurance claimants must read the Claimant Handbook. An Unemployment Insurance week runs Monday through Sunday . Most people claim benefits on Sunday for the week ending that day, but have until the following Saturday to do so. See example below using unemployment week 10/21/19 to 10/27/19.

Options For Receiving Unemployment Compensation
When you file for unemployment, you will be advised of the different options available for receiving benefits. Most states no longer issue paper checks because it is far less expensive to process benefits electronically.
In the states that have gone electronic, options for receiving unemployment benefits include having a direct deposit transferred straight to your bank account or having your benefits added to a bank debit card. For example, in Connecticut, claimants have two options for payment: direct deposit or a debit card.
Are Unemployment Benefits Taxable
All unemployment benefits are taxable. Individuals who filed for and received unemployment benefits will receive a 1099-G tax form from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.
When you file for unemployment, you have the option to choose to have taxes taken out at the time benefits are paid. If you opt to have the deductions taken out of your unemployment benefits, the standard deduction used is 10% for Federal taxes, and 3% for State taxes. When filing your yearly income taxes, you will include the 1099-G as part of your income documents and report accordingly.
