To help reduce identity theft, the ESD has removed Social Security numbers from most of the unemployment documents they send you. They replaced the SSNs with a customer identification number . • The federal government extended the amount of time of unemployment benefits an additional 13 weeks. That means that workers can receive the 26 weeks of unemployment plus another 13 weeks. It is entirely possible that it will continue to be expanded further.
