How to Change Your Address or Employment Information
  • When you would like to submit claim weekly for NJ unemployment benefits, you can inform the change of address or telephone number through phone or by e-mail.

Assigning A User For Account Access

  • The employers internal administrator can create additional user accounts as long as each new user has a unique email address that has not been used previously in UPLINK. Closing/inactivating An Unemployment Account Number

Employers who have closed their business or who no longer have payroll in Tennessee should notify the Agency to make their Employer Account inactive. Requests to make an account inactive should be made using the Employers Report of Change form . The Employers Report of Change form can be submitted online or mailed with the final Wage and Premium Reports.

Allow ten working days for the Agency to process the request to make the account inactive. Employers are notified by mail when the request is processed.

Tennessee Employment Security Law provides for the mandatory transfer of an employers benefit and premium experience whenever there is any common ownership, management or control between predecessor and successor employers. The transfer of employees between or among related entities is also subject to a mandatory transfer of experience rating record. Failure to disclose such transfers can result in the assessment of a penalty rate. If transferring workers to a related entity, contact Employer Services at 741-2486 to discuss whether or not a Report to Determine Status Application for Employer Number is needed for the new employing unit.

    Changing your address with the U.S. Postal Service will not change your address with USCIS. Please update your information with both USCIS and USPS.

    If you fall into any of the categories below, please read the information in the corresponding section. However, most individuals can change their address in two ways:

    What is Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation ?

    PEUC is a federal Continued Assistance Act program that extends benefits to those who have exhausted state unemployment benefits. This benefit ended September 4, 2021.

    What does it mean to exhaust state unemployment benefits?

    A person exhausts state unemployment benefits when he or she either draws all available benefits that could be paid, or reaches the end of the benefit year and is not monetarily eligible for a new benefit year. Also, the individual cannot be eligible to file a claim in any other state.

    How long does PEUC run?

    Under the March 2020 CARES Act, the PEUC extension program allowed an additional 13 weeks of benefits and the program expired on December 26, 2020. The Continued Assistance Act extended this program to expire the week ending March 13, 2021. Under the new American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 , the PEUC program expired the week ending September 4, 2021.

    How do I apply for PEUC?

    Once your state unemployment claim has a zero balance, you can apply for PEUC on our website at www.GetKansasBenefits.gov.

    Do I have to apply for the extension provided under the new ARP Act?

    • You can access ESS by selecting the uplink Employer Self-Service option at .
    • To begin your new account process you first need to create your username and password. Select First Time User from the resources section of the welcome screen to start the account creation process.
    • On the next screen indicate you are registering as an Employer and select the option button to indicate you do not have an existing UI Account number.
    • You will be taken through screens to create your username and password after which you can log into the system from the logon screen.
    • You will be asked to enter your FEIN and then complete several screens with information about your business. During this process you will receive your SUTA account number.

    What was the Lost Wages Assistance Program ?

    On August 8, 2020, the President issued an executive memorandum authorizing the Federal Emergency Management Agency to expend up to $44 billion from its Disaster Relief Fund to provide supplemental benefits to Americans receiving unemployment benefits, creating the Lost Wages Assistance Program . The program provided eligible claimants with an additional $300 in benefits for each of the qualifying weeks. LWAP was only available for the weeks ending August 1, 2020 through September 5, 2020.

    Who was eligible for the additional Lost Wages Assistance ?

    The program was limited in scope and, due to federal restrictions, was available only to those persons who provided self-certification that they are unemployed, partially unemployed, or unable or unavailable to work due to disruptions caused by COVID-19 and who received at least $100 from a qualifying underlying unemployment benefit program.

    An individual was determined to have received at least $100 per week for purposes of being an eligible claimant if the individuals weekly benefit amount as provided on the monetary determination is at least $100 . In addition, the week in question must have been considered compensable.

    When did the additional Lost Wages Assistance start, and how long did it last?

    Are the LWA benefits taxable?

    Yes. These benefits are subject to state and federal taxes.

    Delaware Income Tax 1099g Information

    Posted: 1099-Gs were mailed during the week of January 25th. 1099-Gs are only issued to the individual to whom benefits were paid. If you have moved since filing for UI benefits, your 1099-G will NOT be forwarded by the United States Postal Service. The Delaware Division of Unemployment Insurance cannot update your mailing address for this 1099 cycle.

    Online Changes To Application

    For simple changes of address, you may be able to visit your state’s unemployment department website and submit a change of address electronically. The website may require you to enter a personal password or identification number you obtained when you first filed your unemployment claim.
