  • Enter your NY.gov username and password.

    Now that you have your Benefit Programs Online and UI Online accounts set up, you can use UI Online to:

    • Certify for benefits and report work and wages.
    • Monitor the status of eligibility issues.
    • Get your latest claim and payment information.
    • Change your address and phone number.
    • Verify your identity.
    • Receive notifications including reminders to certify for benefits.
    • View in-person and phone appointments.
    • Reschedule a phone interview.
    • View, print, or request a copy of your tax information from the past five years.
    • Check your UI Online inbox for important messages.

    Note: To apply for benefits online, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are underage, you can apply by phone, fax, or mail.

    File For Unemployment Benefits

    If you recently lost your job through no fault of your own, are unable to work due to a natural disaster or quit for good cause related to the work or the employer, you may be eligible to receive unemployment benefits. Eligible claimants may receive up to 20 weeks of unemployment insurance benefits through the state.Before applying, check to see if you qualify for unemployment benefits.

    Register For Ui Online

    To create your UI Online account, you must be logged in to Benefit Programs Online. Once you are logged in, select UI Online and provide the following information:

    • First and last name as it appears on your claim

    Important: Your EDD Customer Account Number is automatically mailed to new customers within 10 days of filing a claim. If you have lost your EDD Customer Account Number, call us at 1-800-300-5616 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. , seven days per week, except on state holidays.

    Detr Taking Website Offline Dec 26 For Upgrades

    Unemployment resources only online, by phone in Nevada

    The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation announced that in order to conduct regular system updates, they are temporarily taking the Unemployment Insurance website, ui.nv.gov offline on Dec. 26 from 6 a.m. to midnight, a period of lower traffic.

    During this time, individuals will not be able to file claims or access the resource materials. Filers are encouraged to visit the site after midnight Saturday night. This maintenance will not impact the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance site and individuals filing PUA claims online will not be affected. The updates, previously scheduled to run on December 12th, had to be rescheduled for a later date.

    If the updates are successful, individuals will see some visual changes to the Claimants and Employers login screens. Individuals using ui.nv.gov will see two major changes on the site:

    • The type on the sign-in page changed from red to black to make content easier for claimants and employers to read and note necessary information/instructions for filing.
    • Claimants and employers can now enter their username and password on one screen , instead of having to utilize two screens to the enter required login information.

    Nevada Detr Says Changes To Online Login Process To Be Implemented For Unemployment Claimants

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Nevada Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation is advising claimants that updated protection measures will be implemented on its unemployment portal.

    According to a news release, the new measures are meant to protect the identity of claimants and continue to keep accounts safe and secure from potential fraud.

    DETR says that as part of the updates, active or new unemployment claimants will be required to log into their existing ID.me accounts or complete a new identity verification with ID.me upon every entry before accessing the Claimant Self-Service portal.

    Once claimants complete this security measure, according to DETR, they will then be able to log in directly to their accounts as usual.

    DETR advises that the update is scheduled to be complete on the evening of Dec. 28.

    Once complete, the agency provided the below instructions for claimants their self-service accounts moving forward.

    Steps to follow starting the evening of Dec. 28:

    · Active unemployment claimants will go to ui.nv.gov as they normally would

    · Click on the For UI Claimants tab

    · Click on the File A UI Claim button

    · Enter their claimant self-service credentials to sign into their UI account

    · They will then see the following screen upon every entry:

    · Click on either the green Sign in with ID.me button or the xn--id-v2t.me Create an account button

    · Claimant UI account self-service credentials will not be the same as their ID.me credentials
